MY MY MY...look at how time flies. Week three already!
After reading Dr. Mohan's last post it sorta put things in perspective for me. More and more businesses are using the technology available to them to achieve a competitve advantage. The thing is that there is ALOT of money to be made in this area. It's not just knowing the different parts of a computer or how to make a webpage or how to do networking, etc. It is however, important to know how to do these things so that your client can greatly benefit. In order to do this effectively, you must know the purpose of the business, the task that they wan't to automate and you can then use your knowledge of the field of IT to implement a solution that would compliment their business.
I have a greater appreciation for this concept, having written and sold a few programs to companies over the last 3 years or so. This should be very beneficial in my understanding of how the IT Fundamentals function and how they can be used to not only expand business and make it more efficient, but also to create business....your own!
